Stranger Things” has broken a Twitter record, becoming the most tweeted-about streaming show during its Season 2 opening weekend this year.

According to data provided to Variety by Twitter, in the three days since the Season 2 launch of “Stranger Things,” users have generated more than 3.7 million tweets about the show.

The second season launched at midnight on Friday, Oct. 27. The most tweeted-about hour was Friday at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time.

Since Season 2 dropped, the most tweeted-about characters have been Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), then Will (Noah Schnapp), Steve (Joe Keery), Hopper (David Harbour), and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo).

While Netflix infamously does not release ratings, “Stranger Things” is one of the streaming giant’s buzziest and best-reviewed series. According to ratings information previously provided to Variety by Symphony Advanced Media, the show’s first season did in fact rank as one of Netflix’s most-watched shows of 2016, averaging over 14 million viewers adults 18-49 in its first month (Symphony Advanced Media has not yet released any numbers for Season 2).

“Stranger Things” is not the only Netflix series to perform well on Twitter. Roughly one month after its launch, high school drama “13 Reasons Why” became the most-tweeted show of 2017, though those numbers have not been updated since earlier this year.
