Another day, another social media fail by a famous face, and yes… million of fans watching on and spotting it!

This time it was girl group Little Mix who slipped up on their Instagram account, tweeting out what looked like an email from their PR team as part of the description of the advert post they were sending.

The Black Magic singers recently confirmed their second fragrance launch and were promoting the new smell by sharing their excitement at being on the side of a taxi. Well… kinda.

The caption read: “How’s this copy Jade? So surreal…we’re on the side of a taxi! Who’s got their bottle of #LMWISHMAKER? Let us know what you think! Launch event tomorrow.”

How’s this copy Jade? Err. That’s probably not meant to be there!

Whilst the post was quickly edited it was too late with thousands of their fans tweeting about it online. One fan comically wrote: “NO PUT IT BACK THAT WAS THE BEST THING THATS HAPPENED ALL SUMMER.”, which begs the question have celebrity mistakes become the thing to do, to get fans talking about a product or marketing piece?

Either way, they’re here to stay and we’re sure there’s going to be many more over the next few months. So, here’s some of our favourites from the past!

And, stay tuned to our blog for some top tips of crisis management when things do go wrong, live!

Justin Bieber visit the wrong shrine

Justin Bieber wrote on his Instagram, “Thank you for your blessings,” with a photo of him at a Japanese shrine, but the photo was taken at Yasukuni Shrine, a controversial place that honors Japanese who were responsible for the death of thousands of Chinese during World War II.

Yup. Not too politically clear. Bieber realised his mistake quickly and ended up removing the photo, with the following explanation:

“While in Japan I asked my driver to pull over for which I saw a beautiful shrine. I was mislead to think the Shrines were only a place of prayer. To anyone I have offended I am extremely sorry. I love you China and I love you Japan.”

instagram1Scott Disick for BooTea

Kourtney Kardashian’s ex made a blunder on Instagram in front of 15.9 million followers. Oops

Instead of the standard ‘love my protein’ status and some emojis to promote Bootea’s range, the caption read: “Here you go, at 4pm est, write the below. Caption: Keeping up with the summer workout routine with my morning @booteauk protein shake!” Oops.

Many health drink brands has been bolstering their image with celebrity endorsements. Lindsay Lohan, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale have all been spotted posing with Bootea products.

Beyonce Photoshop Fail

Queen of everything Beyonce posted the above photo to her Tumbr account, but fans quickly noticed something odd around the left hand side of it.

Fans suggested there’s something odd going on with the curtains and Beyonce’s arm on the left side of the photo. Are Beyonce’s killer curves are all natural? Or is there about to be an opening for a touch-up artist on Beyonce’s team? You decide!

Don’t upset Oprah

The Oscars are pretty much one of the biggest moments of the year on TV, and now on social media.

Oh, and mixing us someone’s name really isn’t okay!

Total Beauty, an online publication, learned that the hard way after it somehow confused Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah Winfrey in a tweet. Oops. They swiftly apologised, but the damage was done.

james francoJames Franco slides into DMs

James Franco got himself into trouble when he was exchanging Instagram Direct Messages with a 17-year-old Scottish fan.

Apparently, 17-year-old Lucy Clode spotted Franco on Broadway and snapped a picture with the actor. After he was tagged, Franco started this private conversation with her even after he knew her age. Hmm.

After Clode publicised the exchange Franco Tweeted, “I HOPE PARENTS KEEP THEIR TEENS AWAY FROM ME. Thank you.”
